Who Should Attend?
This course will provide the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
This competency applies to all who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Objectives
At the completion of the course participants will be able to:
- Respond to an emergency situation
- Perform CPR procedures
- Communicate details of the incident
Outcome
Participants will be assessed through completion of theory and practical exercises. Upon successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Course Venue and Equipment
Courses are generally conducted in our training rooms at Total Management and Training. Where courses are conducted on-site then a suitable venue is to be provided by the client company. The venue shall have sufficient space for the participants to be seated comfortably for the duration of training, as well as floor space for a series of CPR manikins to be laid out. The venue needs to have a TV monitor with HDMI plug, or a data projector and screen. Any catering costs shall be borne by the client company. Please contact us to discuss alternate arrangements if there is any difficulty in providing these facilities and equipment.
Courses Outside of Cairns
Where the training is conducted outside the immediate Cairns area, additional costs will be applicable. Any airfares, travel, accommodation, meals and materials freight incurred in the provision of this training will be on-charged. Mileage and traveling time will be charged at our standard rates. Please contact us for a formal quotation for courses conducted outside of Cairns.
