Who Should Undertake This Study?
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to identify and comply with legal and risk management requirements of your business or new business venture, including negotiating, creating and planning for legal contracts used within the business, where required. The course applies to those establishing a business providing self-employment, as well as those establishing a new venture as part of a larger organisation.
Course Objectives
Course provides participants with skills and knowledge to:
- Identify legal and risk management requirements relating to business
- Implement procedures and processes to comply with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Negotiate and arrange contracts
- Mitigate business risks
Can previous study and experience be taken into account?
Yes, your history of study, skills and experience can be taken into account but it must support the performance criteria set out in the unit of competency. Documentary evidence and interview will be required.
Outcome
Upon successful completion of all assessment tasks you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency BSBESB402 Establish legal and risk management requirements of new business ventures.
This unit may also be used to apply for a QBCC Trade Contractors Licence. For those in construction, industry funding via Construction Skills Queensland is available.
